News About My PlayStation 2

Hello everyone. I have some bad news about my PlayStation 2. After a year of playing games on it, it stopped reading CD-ROM based games (PlayStation 1 games and PS2 games that are CD-ROM based). I believe the lens is starting to wear out. I still have the original SCPH-30001 model. I'm planning on taking it to my local retro video game store since they repair video game consoles very well. In the meantime, I will not upload anymore let's plays and walkthroughs of PS1 and PS2 games that are CD-ROM based, until I can have it repaired. Fortunately, I can still play PS2 games that are DVD-ROM based since it still reads them.

Now, for those of you who have the newer PS2 models, you may be wondering, "Why aren't you upgrading to the slim model?" Well, first of all, it's because the original model has the ability to read games, including 102 Dalmatians: Puppies to the Rescue and ATV Offroad Fury 3. Second, and finally, I like how the original model operates. Not to mention, it's a good thing my other consoles (my Nintendo Wii, my Nintendo GameCube and my original Xbox) still work. Even though Sony no longer supports the PlayStation 2, I can still have fun with PS1 and PS2 games.

So, that's all I have to say in case you're wondering what's going on with my video game consoles. See you next time, and have a Happy New Year!

Update (09/04/2015): I know I'm really late to say this, but in January of this year, it has been fixed. Now I can still play CD-ROM based games.
